Georg Niehusmann has been working in the music business as a graduate sound engineer for over 40 years. He ran his own recording studio SONIC YARD for over 15 years, was a sound engineer at RTL-Television, produced countless CDs in the field of chamber music as a freelancer, accompanies the careers of many young musicians as a sound engineer at the Folkwang University of the Arts, and has been a sound director and producer for WDR for over 35 years.

As a performing musician (saxophone), he performs with a wide variety of ensembles throughout Europe and the USA. He led the Glenn and the Millers Big Band as well as the Big Band of the University of Applied Sciences Düsseldorf for many years. He has also been a permanent member of the Kokopelli Saxophone Quartet for more than 30 years.
